Drive to Melb and catch a quickie flight to Hobart. Get a taxi or bus into Battery Point (prebook some accommodation on www.wotif.com)and have a great weekend walking and walking and eating and eating and drinking!

Try the Grampians - northern end only 2.5 hours drive and the only towns you'll drive through are Dunolly and Moonabel! Lots of wineries, olive groves, lovely walks and peace and quiet - mind the roos and emus!
