I think using the mashups on Trip Planner (Yahoo! Travel) would prove really valuable for people keen to document and share travel experiences and itineraries outside the norm of overseas travel.

We are but grains of sand in time.
How many places we go is determined by many, many things.
Some of us travel land and ocean endlessly,
some just the ups and downs in an egg timer,
most a bit of both!

Accommodation might be tent,cabin,hotel/motel.
